# Google Voice

### **Established Google Voice & Auto Attendant - kea Setup** <a href="#ctz01ynpf8ad" id="ctz01ynpf8ad"></a>

If you are using Google Voice as your main business line and want to keep the number associated, follow these steps below.

#### Log into Google Admin Console <a href="#etvwkm3hrvyo" id="etvwkm3hrvyo"></a>

You’ll need to login into your [admin.google.com](http://admin.google.com/) Console as there is an added configuration layer that sits on top of **Google Voice**. This means you have a Google Workspace already setup for your business and not using a personal google account.

#### Click the Apps Section <a href="#un0fwhwe3wcr" id="un0fwhwe3wcr"></a>

From here you can then click the **Google Voice** tab.

#### Navigate to the Auto attendant section <a href="#id-5vgjq7v35q7" id="id-5vgjq7v35q7"></a>

Once inside the **Auto attendant** section, you’ll click **Create** so we can establish a new **Auto attendant**.

#### Creating a new Auto attendant <a href="#hjx59dj984c2" id="hjx59dj984c2"></a>

Feel free to name your Auto attendant and give a description. Continue by clicking create.

#### Welcome Message <a href="#id-8qphr0nncf7g" id="id-8qphr0nncf7g"></a>

You can leave this blank or feel free to add a welcome message like “Transferring to store”.![](/files/01cKXGfTxr8RcEHFBLXY)

#### Call Handling <a href="#id-7h7kf7oxcw1z" id="id-7h7kf7oxcw1z"></a>

Here you will want to click **Transfer Caller**. Once you do this a dropdown will appear. Within the dropdown select **Phone Number**. Once that option is selected, you can then add your **kea provided Phone Number**.<br>

#### Publish Auto Attendant <a href="#id-1z3ii9qf2s2g" id="id-1z3ii9qf2s2g"></a>

After setting the call settings. Make sure to ***always*** hit publish. This will then save the **Auto Attendant**. *\*Will we come back to the Auto attendant you created once unassign your current Google Voice phone number.*

#### Visit User Section of Google Voice <a href="#id-2ero0fm4q16t" id="id-2ero0fm4q16t"></a>

Go to the **Users** tab inside Google Voice. Hover to the right of your current Google Voice number user, you’ll see the pop-up **Edit Number**. Click this to enter a modal. From there you’ll see a button to **Unassign** the number. Click this action.

#### Revisit kea Auto Attendant <a href="#nzms7721jycz" id="nzms7721jycz"></a>

Go back to your Auto Attendant you recently created for kea. Inside the edit mode for the Auto Attendant, click the **Assign A Number** button.

From here it’ll ask you to select a service address which would be your business address. Then click **Next**. The modal step below will appear. You’ll see the words “Previously assigned to your \[X user]”. If you don’t see the true Google business number. You can also click **Change** and then search for your business number already acquired.

#### Assign Number and Publish Auto Attendant <a href="#mfktcjflnebz" id="mfktcjflnebz"></a>

From here you can assign your Google business number and publish the assistant.

#### Your Google Voice & kea is ready! <a href="#vs8tmm4i75bo" id="vs8tmm4i75bo"></a>

You can now call your Google Voice number and hear our kea Voice AI on the other side! Give it a whirl!

You can further customize your auto-attendant, if you want an IVR phone tree to activate before to separate kea AI and catering. Feel free to use the **Menu** option.
